Getting prepared for a hospital stay can be hectic. There are a lot of emotions, and often a lot of last-minute planning. If your child has never had an overnight stay before, you might not know what to pack.
To make things a little easier, I’ve put together a list of recommendations for what to pack for the hospital.
Items like toiletries might top the list, but you can go beyond that. For example, you can bring supplies for special projects your child enjoys.
One of our patients read the book Paper Cranes and decided she wanted to create and display her own 1,000 cranes. So, she learned how to make them and even taught others in the hospital. This gave her great comfort and was part of her healing process.
